The 'Who'd Have Thought It' inn which dominates the centre of the village is just 2 minutes walk and serves good food and Sir Francis Drake's family seat Buckland Abbey (N.T.) is within 1 mile. Indoor pool specialist shops and trout fishery at Tavistock 6 miles. Plymouth's Barbican Aquarium dry ski slope and theatre 10 miles. Golf and shops 1 mile. Beach 20 miles.
