Equidistant to the north is Kendal gateway to the Lakes whilst to the west lie the historic villages of Arnside (6 miles) and Silverdale on the Morecombe Bay coastline a designated area of outstanding natural beauty thanks to its rich diversity of habitats. Sizergh Castle (N.T.) and Levens Hall are also both nearby. Shop 1 mile two pubs serving food 2 miles.
