There are castle ruins too and at the far end of the promenade Britain's only electric cliff railway climbs to the summit of Constitution Hill for an amazing panorama of Cardigan Bay. From the town a little train travels to the stunning waterfalls at Devil's Bridge. Safe sandy beaches boat trips for dolphin watching or fishing Rhayader's Red kite feeding station excellent walking and bird watching and mountain biking in the Cambrian hills are all easily accessible.
