From here narrow boat trips cross the famous Pontcysyllte aqueduct the highest and longest on the canal system and the surrounding Dee Valley is a breathtakingly beautiful backdrop for climbing abseiling and gorge walking. Also within easy reach are relaxing days on the golden beaches at Barmouth (30 miles). Corwen (2 miles) offers a good selection of shops and pubs serving food.
