The National Trust's enchanting medieval house at Cotehele with its valley garden leading to the quay and watermill on the River Tamar is just 7 miles away. For walkers there is Kit Hill Country Park (3 miles); canoe and boat trips along the Tamar are readily available and the St Mellion golf club (8 miles) offers a range of leisure facilities. Shop/post office and pub serving food about 2 miles.
